Presently I have an old 1889 Pelton Wheel turbine connected, by belts, to a 1950s Hobart generator. I would like to upgrade my system.
I have:
50m water head
24.78L of water flow entering the head house.
72psi dynamic pressure at the bottom.
I have 6 inch pipe and 4 inch pipe (penstock) coming out of the head house. They join at 5m and continue as 4 inch pipe.
What type of pico hydro turbine/generator would you recommend and what would the price be. I want to produce at lease 3kw.
